Huge Weekend Ahead for Bellingham—Legendary Banked Slalom, the Grammys, and Valentine’s Day!
This week in Washington began with an epic storm. Snowboarders took to the streets (check out this video), schools closed, and Whatcom County declared a state of emergency. But it’s over. The snow in Bellingham is melting and it couldn’t come at a better time. It’s Friday, and with the roads clear, we can get out and stock up for the big weekend.

Mt. Baker’s Legendary Banked Slalom snowboarding event
This is the 31st annual Legendary Banked Slalom event, making it the longest running organized event in snowboarding. It’s a sacred holiday for those who love the sport and it’ll go all weekend.
