2020 Solutions donates $2,770 to Bellingham Food Bank
The Bellingham Food Bank, which is visited by more than 1,350 families every week, recently received a $2,770 donation from 2020 Solutions.
The donation resulted from 2020 Solutions pledging $10 for each new person joining its popular rewards program Nov. 3-18, according to Aaron Nelson, of the Bellingham-based cannabis retailer.
“We wanted to help fellow members of our community and chose the food bank after learning that nearly 20 percent of Bellingham residents visit it on a regular basis,” Nelson said. “It was especially heart-wrenching to hear that more than 50 percent of recipients are either senior citizens or children.”
One of the first dozen cannabis retailers in the state, 2020 Solutions opened July 10, 2014 at 2018 Iron St. in downtown Bellingham. Since then, additional stores have been launched at 5655 Guide Meridian and 4770 Pacific Highway, both on the north side of Bellingham, and at 1615 Basin St. S.W., Ephrata. A broad selection of cannabis flower, edibles, concentrates and accessories are available at 2020 Solutions, which also includes certified medical marijuana consultants on its staff to discuss options with patients.
